the measurments are in cups, what would you say the equivalent is in in ounces or tablespoons?

You can't have a general conversion that will equate a cup measure, which is volume, to an ounce measure which is weight.

Think about it, if you had a cup of chopped parsley and a cup of water the volume, cups, would be the same. However the weight, ounces, would be considerable different. The cup of water would weigh around 8 ounces as others have said, but you would be lucky to have even as much as one ounce in weight of parsley.

Tablespoons can equate to cups easily as they are also a measure of volume.
