  1. i think you mustn't go over the speed limit even if its only a small amount.

  2. If you intend on breaking the speed limit, do you really intend on stopping when they try to pull you over?

The best thing to do is try gradually increasing speeds and find out for yourself, you can't believe what you read on the internet, everyone knows that!

  3. 5

they usually start giving tickets at 10 over

  4. 0, None

  5. It depends. Were I live at rush hour the speed limit is 45mph. Most are going AT LEAST 60mph.If you were going 45 you would get run off the road!

At night police are looking for drunk drivers. They are much more likely to stop you for some small infraction.Turn signals etc. Just go with the flow of traffic,

  6. In England it's 10%, so in a thirty zone you can only go up to thirty three mph.

  7. u cnt go over its kinda the hole point

  8. There is no set allowance- although nearly all police officers give some leeway.  Technically, anything over the speed limit is liable to get you a ticket, but most officers give people ten mph.  Depending on the road (interstate versus school zone for example) that discretion may not be so lenient.  I've heard of people saying they know someone who has gotten a ticket or been stopped for going two or three miles over.  I've never personally seen it or been party to it.  If you want to be safe, never be the fastest person out there.  If people are passing you and you are already speeding, you ought to be fine.  Although, if you get stopped, that's not an excuse.  Speed limits are in place to keep people safe- not to generate revenue or harass people.  Higher speeds result in worse crashes and greater potential for injury.  Personally, I don't write anyone until they are going at least twelve to thirteen, usually fifteen over depending on different areas of town.  Just whatever you do- be careful and never pass a police car if he's going the limit.  Just because most won't write you a ticket for going a little over doesn't mean they can't.  Happy commuting!!

  9. I know it used to be 5% of the limit, so if it was a 70 limit, they would let you off if you were doing 73 ish, but that was when speedometers werent as reliable or as accurate.

You could contest it and get your speedo checked, but with todays technology I cant see it being wrong....

    hope this helps.
