It's never dark but white, cloudy, and fairly bright-dull skies

  1. Ok here is the deal. Thunderstorms, outside of fronts, form from cumolous clouds that underwent a process called convection. Cumulous clouds are those white, bright puffy clouds that you see a lot. When the sun is strong and the atmosphere is unstable, cumulous clouds will actually grow in size in terms of width and height. Once they reach a certain size, they will be able to produce rain. And if the clouds get big enough, they will also produce lightning, they can produce hail, and if the right conditions are there, they can produce tornados. During the summer, if you are on an interstate with a clear view, during the afternoon, you can see how those cumulous clouds actually get bigger in size as time goes on.

That is why when the right conditions appear, you will see those clouds outside, and before you know it, you get hit with thunderstorms.

  2. mirrors and cameras affect the way your eye detects light.  Also, illegal drugs can often times make things look brighter and even cause you to see things that aren't there.  thunderstorms are a natural, safe form of entertainment for the whole family.
