In my camry the brake light in my dashboard is on....?

my brake light is on, and my parking brake isnt on... why is my brake light on!?!?!/ im like all paranoid something bad is happening to my car when im driving it...

the vehicles diagnostic system might be telling you something but before you plug it into a diagnostic machine try checking your brake fluid level

If the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is not on means that the master cylinder is low on brake fluid. Its easy, just pop the hood, look on the firewall by the driver and look for a plastic container with a big black piece of plastic behind it. Clean the cap before taking it off and check the fluid level on the hash marks on the the side. If its low, just run by the parts store and get some brake fluid to top it off. I am wanting to say you would need DOT 3 brake fluid (generally the master cylinder cap will tell you) and please pour carefully, the stuff is corrosive and will eat away at paint.

When your brakes wear the brake caliper holds more brake fluid. the reservoir on the brake buster reads low and the light comes on. Yo need new brake pads,

check the brake fluid in the master cylinder those have a sensor in them ,and when they get low the light will stay on like that,good luck
