  1. I don't know about guinea pigs but rabbit is eaten in the United States. I personally don't care for it but it is eaten here

  2. In India they have a "delicacy" called cutie pie. It is the aborted fetuses of a goat. they cook them into a curried stew. It is rare there because butchers don't want to admit publicly that they sell the fetuses. I watched some woman try to buy them on a discovery channel show, the butcher swore he didn't have any and didn't sell that sort of thing. Then when she went without the cameras, she was able to buy them. They had a big party for an engagement or something and everybody ate some and called it the best ever! As for whether I would eat it, would you eat aborted babies of any animal? No.

  3. I love Rabbit!  Great taste and texture.

Never had Guinea Pig, but i have had other "rodents" that were very tasty, so i'd give it a try.

Many countries have "delicacies" that others find objectionable, and I have eaten many of them in my travels all over the world for business.  I have to say that most were quite good, however Phillipine "Balouts" and Asian Durian fruit are not among that list for me.

  4. I am from Maine in the United States. Here we have a beverage (soft-drink) known as Moxie. I find it delicious, but I have heard others describe it as citrusy motor oil or carbonated cold medicine.

  5. Why should anyone answer??

Knowing it is a cultural preference..

and to protest with crude comments is an insult.

I also have eaten rabbits and squirrels

    BUT

What is the purpose of this question ??

just to stir disgust and biased opinion..

  6. Unfortunately, your GF is judging your foods without tasting for herself...I am Nigerian and it is common for us to eat goat (all parts in many different and yummy ways)...when telling my friends this, they react with disgust but I always challenge them to not judge before trying...and I'm happy to say that 90% always like it or say, "It tastes like chewy chicken"...

    lol, go figure.

  7. Chinese- ppl eat monkey brain and drink pig's blood... i'm not sure if they still do it now. for monkey brain they serve the monkey's decapitated head live and then they slice the top bit off for you to peel and scoop out the brain. it's said to make you smart. i really don't like the idea of it, but i can accept that people do eat such things, though i'm not from china. but i feel almost every animal can be eaten, and it's just whether you're used to it or not.

  8. My mom makes a lot of food people would recognized as weird or disgusting.  I've had duck blood with greens and peanuts, frogs, gizzards, intestines, pig's nose.  I've tried a lot and I definitely don't like all those things I've named, but it was worth trying.
