Question:

In my dream I was flying in an airplane with no bottom?

I was in the airplane and I was sitting there. It had no bottom, our feet were hanging out. So, we lifted off, and then the pilot kept swooping down and joking around. Then he hit this tower and someone fell out, and the plane landed on the ground, and we jumped out because we thought it was going to crash, but then it just stopped moving after we jumped out. What does this mean?

  1. OK, I'll try- I get the impression that you are apprehensive about some venture, now or in the future, that may carry you off for all the wrong reasons. No bottom=no support, irresponsible pilot=lack of leadership, any obstacle would cause the loss of passengers, and the whole thing would lack motive power without you. Seems you have been warned..

Some shady process, maybe local, maybe more remote, is hazardous for you and others- what? the economy, local or national, politics and its uncertainties, lurching from crisis to crisis: lots of stuff like that these days. Make some notes about what concerns you most- research some of those reasons, let education replace apprehension.

  2. Your dream suggests that there is someone or some circumstance in your life whereby you and others about you are being affected by some entity that does not have serious regard for your welfare.

The peril of sitting so exposed is obvious enough and likely relates to whatever situation this 'ride' in life is proceeding by.  The pilot's misbehavior is as if a manager, professor - or someone having influence over you and others about you is not exercising the care you feel is called for.  Whatever may be going on may seem harmless to that person but the potential impact to others could be significant - that is demonstrated by the one person falling out when the tower was hit.

Finally - in escaping as you did - you see that the thing managed to come to rest without some final calamity - but what a terrible ride!  This implies that whatever the awful circumstance is that drives this dream you may see a way past it - not without temporary hazard and discomfort but with some confidence that you'll make it OK.

Take a look at your life circumstances at the moment - is there anything going on with academics, finances, career, family or relationships with others that may fit some of these points?  It would not have to be a life-threatening thing - just something where someone with some measure of control holds things over the heads of others - including you - in a way that could be perilous in some way.  That could range from mortgage lenders to teachers or anyone else who holds the reins in some way.

You will have to judge the relevancy for yourself but perhaps some of these points may help you sort out the meaning and source then of this dream.

    All the best to you.

  3. Maybe you are feeling that you don't have control in a certain area or areas of your life. Liftiing off in an airplane and seeing there is no bottom suggests you are pretty upset or insecure or even fearful of something that maybe others aren't taking you seriously about. Like the pilot joking around. Someone falling out sounds again, like you don't feel that control or security. Being in the situation you describe is having no safety or control. But dreams are complicated. Who really knows what might be bothering you.

  4. It sounds like it's signifying an "out of control" period in your life. . & no bottom as in "no support/control . . ."

    This dream is very strange.

I've had several dreams similar to this, but not quite because of the airplane thing.

Are some issues in your everyday life up in the air - the plane & - out of control - the guy playing around w/ you/crash/no bottom?

You should think about this dream & how it could possibly relate to your everyday life/interactions. . .

    Best of Luck :]
