In my fantasy baseball league I have Ervin Santana and I was offered Nate McLouth for him, so I do the deal?

The rest of my outfield is, Hunter Pence, Lance Berkman(I play him at UTL), Ichro (I play him at my UTL), Fukudome, Ludwick, and Braun(who is my 3rd baseman).

The rest of my pitching staff is, Dan Haren, Tim Hudson, Cliff Lee, Felix Hernadez, Erik Bedard, and Armando Galarraga.

  1. Keep Santana, he is having an outstanding year.  McLouth is coming back down to earth as far as his stats go.

  2. I think I would pass, because Galarraga is not that solid yet.

Upon further review, Galarraga is pretty good numbers wise, so I think I would make a counter offer, where you offer someone other than Ervin Santana..

  3. Pitching can only win you one day a week, on the day they pitch. 2 if you get lucky. Hitting earns you points 6 days a week. If a pitcher has one bad day, he screws up your whole stat category. If a hitter has 2 bad days, he can still bounce back with a 3-5 day. I would take hitting over pitching anyday. Especially with your pitching staff. If I were you, I'd keep Haren and Hernandez, and trade the rest for some top-line hitting.

  4. It depends how the points are structured is it easier to earn points through pitching or batting

regardless, though i would stay with Santana
