  1. It is better to put it on wood

  2. you can proberly get one in ikea or somewhere of that nature :) that has wood around it. that is proberly your best bet. And this means you proberly wont wreck the wall in putting it up.

  3. To be politically correct I think you should get a 'whiteboard' and dry wipe markers....wait a second...that's not politically correct either, it just uses a different colour. I am offended. ( I am not offended...)

    Anyway...

Use wood, 'cos wood is good, wood is so good in my neighbourhood, gotta' get that wood and paint it black, don't go too quick or you'll have a heart attack.

Remember kids, have fun with blackboards and hoop and stick and things like that. Xbox 360 will just rot your mind and GTA4 will make you do things you don't want to do.

    Thanks...

  4. no we used the paint directly on the wall in my room. it really doesn't erase well though but that may just be the type of chalk we're using.

  5. Why not just buy a large blackboard? It would be good instead of painting the whole wall so that they can draw on it.. they would think then they can draw on every wall and i don't think you'd want drawing all over the house :)

  6. I would not paint it directly on the wall. depending on how old you kids are, they might think its okay to just write on the wall and they will get into the habbit of doing that so on top of wood would be better! Hope This answers your question

  7. Should be OK,  as long as they only use chalk.

  8. I think you can use it directly on the wall.

Frame off the area you want and start painting! You're going to need quite a few coats of the blackboard paint!

Good luck and what a great idea!

  9. The "best answer" would be to call the manufacturer of the blackboard paint.

  10. You can do either. You can get special stuff which is suitable to put straight on the wall, which is what I did but my friend bought a huge piece of wood and put that on the wall and painted that. Just make sure you get the decorating version if you want to put it on the wall. It is made specially to bond to interior wall paint.

  11. You can use blackboard paint directly on the wall, but it will take an extra coat or two because the wall sucks up more paint that wood will.

The only thing I warn you about, if you have littler ones you need to "frame" it in, because you don't want them to learn to paint on ANY wall.  :)

  12. wood would be better we did this to my nephews wardrobe door he loved it until he grew outta it
