I am currently out of the country, and will be for another month. I have been sending resumes to Public Relations agencies in Manhattan for the past week, but have not been telling them that I am not in the country. I am worried that maybe someone has called my cell phone # listed on my resume. From past experience, I have found that they usually just respond to the e-mail. Do you think I should write in my cover letter that the best way to contact me is through e-mail?

I am sending resumes now because I know how long it takes to get a response, so I would rather send now than wait until I get back.

  1. Well shouldn't you have your cell phone with you? Anyways you should just go to www.k7.net. They offer free voice mail and faxing service. They will hold your messages for you and you can hear them in a .wmv format and so on. You even get your own # so you can tell Public Relations it. It all depends on when you are going back. If you are going back in a day then just wait. A week or two then definatley sign up.
