  1. you could either get a wireless network or with my cable company they will charge me a service call (about $80) and $10 per jack.  If your comp in the study doesn't have a wireless card you can buy a card to put inside your computer or they now have wireless that plugs into the usb ports.  I have cable internet and have the modem and router in my living room and wireless all around the house.  good luck

  2. I suggest that Yahoo Answers is not the correct forum for this - we do not even know where you live and the cost will vary a lot depending on the conditions on site.

Your only obvious route is to call in your local telephone supplier and they will be able to give you an exact quote.

Are you aware that there are wireless systems that do not depend on telephone connections? this could be a much cheaper and technically a superior option for you. This service is regularly advertised in the local newspapers, or the local computer shop will be able to assist you.

  3. There are plug in kits out there so you can DIY.
