In my youth I remember my mom fussing at me for watching tv w/NO lights. Any harm to your eyes truthfully ?

So the question is : Will it hurt your eyes, give you a headache, etc to watch TV w/o lights ?

Not that i no of. i watch t.v every night when i am going to bed. and i have for 14 years. i have 20/15 vision which is really good. i dont think it does any harm to your vision. it doesnt hurt my eyes or give me headaches either

I don't know this for a fact but I think the darkness makes your eyes harder to focus on the TV rather than if it was bright.

It can def. give you a headache but im not sure if this is one of those parent myths  " dont cross your eyes or they'll get stuck "
