Question:

In need of Spanish visa extension and already in Spain?

I initially applied for a Spanish student visa in the US and am currently in my final month of the semester of studies. I recently acquired a internship position with a company here in Spain and would like to remain for another year to work and to study another semester. Is there any way I can get an extension to my original visa or perhaps something a little more permanent?

  1. If you are from the US i wouldn't count on it. And if you are in your final month...........  its gonna take a while to process so you kinda left it a little late my friend. I hope all goes well but your chances are not great as you are not a citizen within the EU.

  2. You need to go stright to the US Consulate in Malaga with your present visa, employment contract or a letter from your company and your passport and you should tell them your offer and your wish to remain. Good luck. PS You can get the US Consulate address and telephone in the SUR in ENGLISH newspaper every Friday.

  3. I would think it's up to the company who offered you a job to get a work visa organised for you.  Why don't you talk to them about it?
