In need of a celebrity, who's life has been affected by fame! ?

For my drama coursework we're doing it about Fame, and being famous. I'd like to give an example and write up about a celebrity who's life has been affected directly.

I figure I won't be the only one to do Britney Spears, so does anyone have any other celebrities? And any information about how fame has enhanced, or ruined, their lives?

Pick someone different. Ava Gardner was born on a tobacco farm in Brogden (nicknamed "Grabtown"), near Smithfield, North Carolina, a real "Tobacco Road" upbringing. She was "discovered" quite by chance. She became a famous beauty in movies before she had much experience, but went on to star in some of my favorites. She married three times, to Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw, and Frank Sinatra. There was a story about how she threw a diamond engagement ring out the window in Las Vegas.
