Question:

In nightclubs, why are women of 18 allowed in, but men must be 21 to enter?

I have noticed this happens quite often, when a guy must be 21 to enter into a bar or nightclub. Is there any reason (or logic) to this idea? What benefit do clubs get out of not allowing men under 21 in? Also, is it even legal for them to restrict like that, as it is, at its very roots, incredibly sexist?

Please leave your thoughts...

Thanks!

  1. 18 is age of consent heheh...

  2. this is normal.

young girls bring in the customers.

the younger the girls, the more guys come.

many bars risk this sort of illegal practice to make more money.

but in g*y bars the teen boys I am sure are allowed in also.

  3. it is legal.  they can have any rule they choose.

i used to work in a night club.  the reason we had it that way was kinda like this... as they owners see it, the more women inside, the more men want to come... and men were always the biggest spenders..  kind of like how most clubs, around here anyway, let women in free, but men have to pay.  and those city numbers you can call to chat and hook up with others in your city(?), they let women call all day for free, but men eventually have to pay.  it's like that a lot...  women always seem to have a leg up, but it is a scheme, a way for people to make money.. apparently it's been working for most, so they'll probably continue to have rules like that.
