When you encounter muramasa later in the game, in mount fuji he gives you this item called muramasa's omusubi, and in the description it says that "completely restores Ryu's health and all lasting damage" what exactly does this item do ? and what does lasting damage meens?

on the life bar it starts one color right then a you take damage it turns red then it starts to dissapear the dissapeared portion is unrestorable buy normal healing methods thats the lasting damage it heals that and raises back your maximum health
