In one of my groups the e-mails appear with a banner on the right side. How to switch off this banner?

it's about the appearence of the e-mails. In some groups they are better than in other groups. Where can I manage this?

Try tinkering with the feature Message Format. You can find this from Edit Membership. There are three options - Default | Fully Featured | Traditional.  Fully Featured is the one with the bar at the side.

Individual members can change this for themselves. I'm not sure if the owner can set it globally.

Also bear in mind that any member whose email program uses plain text only will not receive all this extra stuff.
