Religion has been the reason for most wars, tragedies and sufferings of humanity just because every one wishes the other human being to follow his God.

All religions basically preach the same thing. Don't lie, steal, commit adultery, murder etc. So how can they be bad for society? If everyone had a little religion in them, I'm sure you would have a better society.
