  1. Hi!

I'm currently working on my Bachelor's of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

The best undergraduate major to be a speech pathologist would be something along the lines of Speech Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences, Speech Path. and Audiology, Communication Sciences, or something along the lines of that.  It is called different things at different schools, but the topics of classes and requirements are the same.

I don't know if you know this, but to be a practicing speech pathologist you will need a master's degree in Speech Pathology and to have your "C's" (a Certificate of Clinical Comptency, which is a certification through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

I encourage you to check out ASHA's web site (www.asha.org). It is very resourceful and user-friendly.  There is a student section where you can find ANY information you need to know about speech pathology.

Good luck... hope that was helpful!  If I can answer any other questions you have, please let me know!
