  1. Yes, it's too late. Give it up. It's not worth trying. You are way past your prime, one foot in the grave. :-) OK, not really but I wanted to give you some variety since everyone else is saying no.

I started at 24 and 4 years down the road and I still have aspirations. The nice thing about guitar is learning how to play isn't too hard. Look at Nirvana, most there songs could be played by a 10 year old. It's coming up with the music that moves people that's the hard part.

  2. No not at all my husband didn't start early and he is really good (in my opinion) I think if you really wanna learn and are dedicated to practicing you can get really good

  3. I'm starting back at 47, but I don't expect to make world class.

Lots of really good guitarists started in high school or college so, no, 22 isn't too late.

I could play for an hour or two every day and still not get everything done that I want to.  As is, I practice 30 minutes to an hour most days of the week.  No aspirations to be a performer; I'm just having fun with it.

  4. No, I used to think the same thing. If hendrix or Ginger rogers started late they would still be great. It's all about natural talent. You should practise as much as you can EFFICIENTLY. There is no point practising things you can already play. At least an hour a day I'd say. Or little and often at least.

  5. No it is not too late. The rest of the question. How many hours.

Practice as much as you can, but be sure that you are focused.  If your mind wanders, or you are getting tired, take a break.

Best of Luck.  Enjoy your playing. and Get Help

  6. No way is it too late.  As far as practicing goes, you get what you give, and if you put your whole heart into it, it will show.
