No.  You have to be 1 yr out of high school to play in the NBA, so for most, they'll play in college for at least 1 year, but they can play in Europe or Asia for a year too if that's what they want.  One guy is doing that route because his SAT scores were horrible.  He would've went to the University of Arizona.

For the WNBA, you have to be 4 yrs out of high school in order to get to the draft.  Most players would be graduating from college in that time, naturally.  Lauren Jackson of the Seattle Storm however never went to college, because she played in Australia before getting drafted, but then again, she's Australian.

Not at all, you just have to be out of high school for a year. Alot of players go for the college option, but Brandon Jennings is playing over seas, and Mike Taylor played in the D-League. You could even just sit around on a couch and watch TV. You just have to be out of high school for at least a year and be 18 years of age.

No just one year removed from High School... Most players go to college because its a smart thing to do and they need the level of competition to keep them sharp or make them better...

No. You could play in Europe for a year and make your money. All you have to be is one year older than from when you graduated from high school.
