May I add two amplifiers to my B5 Audi Quattro stock head unit? I want to add a line output converter with a couple of RCA splitters. Each splitter will reach a JL amp. 300/2 for MB Quart (150 RMS) 6.5s and the 1000/1 for a 13w7. I went with Rockford RCA audio+video cables, I'll just omit the video for now. In my possession is a Kinetik HC1400, 1 farad cap, the epicenter PLUS, and some $. I want to amplify ONLY the rear speakers, so the front speakers will be stock. 1000 watt sub + 300 watt components + 80 watt stock = <1400 watts RMS. Any words of wisdom? High output Alternator?

  1. audi already has a high output alternator...no need to spend more on alternator

4guage wiring is optimum for 600rms

upgrade it to 2 or 1 guage wiring and the capacitor wont help you 1 farad is ok for 500rms.

just upgrade the wiring you'll be happy
