  2. I think that would be a great idea.  Most of Europe did it with the Euro.  It would be awesome if we had a standard dollar for the whole world.

  3. No, it's not worth being tied to the US foreign policy. They regularly do incredibly stupid things like the Vietnam and Iraq wars.
