My hair is easily dry & has a lot of split ends. Because my hair is so thin & never holds a style, I wash everyday. I know it's bad for my hair. Any good suggestions?

  1. if you shower everyday shampoo every other and only condition it on days you dont

you can buy hair products made for  dry or damaged hair so look for those too

  2. Wash your hair about every 3 days, and that's it. It does wonders for my hair.

  3. ok u dont have to wash it but you must comb it everyday! use de tangler products! also use moisterizing products! trust me it will really help.

  4. USE DRY SHAMPOO!!

    ITS REALLY GOOD!!

    -    GOOD LUCK =]

  5. just try skipping a day or two. And try moisterizing products when you do wash it. Make sure you use conditioner too.

  6. try mayonnaise, it will make your hair very soft and shiny

also try using dry&damaged products, i know pantene pro-v is really good for that kind of hair

  7. dont wash it every day and if it looks greasy put it in a pony tail or spray hairspray at the roots because the alcohol in hairspray obsorbs oil

  8. Well, you could use dry shampoo. Wait, is your hair oily at all?

I had oily roots and dry ends after the first day, so I washed everyday too. But Aussie has this really good shampoo/conditioner thing

'Cleanse and Mend', it works wonders, and it gets rid of oily roots and frazzled ends !;)

  9. when u shower leave the conditioner in for couple minutes, it will allow it to soak in, i also heard that leaving mayo in your hair for about 15 minutes then rinsing out with help it become really soft and shiny!

  10. It is good that you understand that washing your hair everyday is not good. That's a start. Try washing your hair every other day. When washing everyday (especially with warm or hot water) it drys the natural oils out of your hair so much that it becomes dry and unhealthy. The same goes for your skin. You can purchase special products from dove that help to heal your hair and soften your dry skin. Look in department stores for theses types of products as well as hair conditioners. You will look better in no time, I guarantee it.

ps You can also purchase special shampoos that help to thicken your hair so it will be easier to hold a style and give you a fuller look. Good luck and have fun.

  11. My hair is like that too. Getting a regular trim will help the split ends. But as far as not washing your hair everyday, only do it every other day or every three days or so. One thing I do is that I apply baby powder to my roots because it absorbs oil. It blends in pretty easily and that way I don't have to wash every single day. That, or just use conditioner every other day instead of shampoo and conditioner. Or use a moisturizing shampoo.

  12. Only wash your hair every other day or so, but when you do make sure to put conditioner in your hair and leave it while you wash the rest of your body.  That way the moisture has had a chance to sit in the hair.  If you have oily hair apply only to 3/4 of you hair.  It will keep the roots from being too oily and moisturize the other parts.  Good luck!

  13. My hair needs to be washed everyday too! My suggestion for your split ends is going to the hair salon every 4 weeks and getting them trimmed. It's an un-noticable way to make your hair healthier. My suggestion for the dryness is to do a conditioner treatment 1-2 times a week. Just put a good amount of conditioner in your hair and leave it in for around 5 minutes, and wash it out thoroghly. That's what I do! Just make sure you get it all out so it doesn't get greasy! If you heat style your hair, I think you should use Sunsilk 24/7 creme. it's cheap, and works great! I use the straightening creme and anti-poof creme. A little goes a long way for me because my hair is so thin. I put it in when my hair is damp (right out of the shower). There are many different kinds. I hope I've helped, and good luck!

  14. my friend was just like u then she use some times salt to wash her hair , put some salts on your hair or the brush & brush it , another way is using corn flour , the soft one  the same way as using salt ,, it may sound weired but  try it & hope it will work  koz its work with my friend , an french makeiire told her to do so , if u didnt like the idea , u can use products for oily hair , & cut the ends of your hair , use condition for dry hair & try to not clean it always , put condition only at the end of the hair , try to not use hair dryer , if u have to use it , use it with less heat ,  dont brush it alot & dont totch it a lot koz it make it more oily , dont eat spicy or oily foods . try to not wear a hat or scarf specially a summer ,  there is shampoos for these kinds of hair , u find it in the supermarket or the pharmacy , try to wash your hair with a cold water ,, good luck with all of that

  15. use a conditioner for your hair type. try asking someone who works in a salon for a good product. remember to get your hair trimmed to get rid of the spit ends and so your hair remains healthy.

  16. I wash my hair everyday too because it gets greasy at the roots. Try washing your hair every other day. If your hair looks greasy on the days you havent washed it, sprinkle a little bit of talcum power at the roots as it absorbs the grease. Also, when washing your hair, dont apply the conditioner to the roots as conditioner tends to make the hair oily and greasy.
