  1. It is a Government con, but it's to get Britain to accept Monsanto's GM food.

  2. Gordon Brown should bring John Prescott back in to the Cabinet and put him in charge of waste food.

Prescott could eat all the food that we leave, hence no more  waste.

  3. Twentyniner is spot on.

I mean i laughed when i heard this!

How can buying a product push its cost up?

  4. No, all it will take is people taking on some personal responsibility not to excessively waste or buy too much.

Problem is that in this day and age taking personal responsibility is a step too far for some.

  5. Would it not be saner to tackle the real cause?      All of us stop wasting food.

  6. Gordon Brown's plea of saving food is a big con. He's trying to suggest that families are responsible for the higher food costs. That's not true. It's almost entirely the government's own fault, a major factor is their refusal to help reduce transport costs by levying a lower fuel tax.
