If you were looking for a way to reduce traffic congestion in your county, would you consider a higher personal vehicle registration fee, the difference to go to the public mass transportation system as long as the county also decreased property taxes and increased the park-n-rides on the outskirts of the county for those that commuted in from outside the county?

  1. Yeah, I would go for that.

  2. I do not think that taxation is the key to reducing congestion.  I think that we will always have "congestion" especially as the population and number of vehicles grow more rapidly than we build roadways and public transportation infrastructure.  I personally deal with congestion by starting my day later (10:30 AM) and working later (6:30 PM) - not everyone has a job where they can be flexible with their hours.  I would like to telecommute 1 or 2 days a week, but I am not sure if that will be allowed.
