  1. You're probably breaking the bones in your feet by running on hard surfaces. You can't "fix" this, you have to heal up, and it'll take quite a while if you're not eating right. Stress fractures are fun. You don't so much as BREAK bones as you crack them, making for lots of pain, with almost nothing to see on an x-ray.

  2. You want to make sure you have a very comfy shoe to begin with. Go with a running shoe... the only bad thing is if you want a very good shoe, your going to have to fork out some good money for it. I am walker and I use New Balance. Make sure you shoe isnt too tight nor too loose when you wrap up your foot. If the size of your shoe is fine, my suggestion is to go with a Width shoe. I knew NB has some shoes that are like that but when it comes to running I am one to go with Nike. I do believe they also have some W shoes as well. One thing you might want to try is after a track meet, soak your feet in some warm water and stuff. I used to have to do things like that after cheering for two games back to back. Best of luck!

  3. If they are fracture rest, if it is soft tissue damage read and apply http://www.helium.com/tm/148271.

This is a two stage process first you find out what the problem is and then you fix it.
