In pokemon diamond,how do i evolve pokemon via Happiness?

use items like hp up, calcium, etc

carry them around with you

dont let them faint

level up

Pretty much just what the first post said, but you also need to give them items to hold (some items are better then others) and they love to be in the front of your line-up.

Also, it takes time to build up that friendship. I think there is some way to look at how happy they are in the menus, but I'm not quite sure; I haven't played in a while.
