In pokemon diamond can you mate a ditto with any other pokemon?

put both my staraptor & charzard in daycare with ditto & got an egg.

yes, except the legendaries of course! the egg will either be a starly or charmander

You can breed any pokemon with a Ditto except the legendary pokemon and a few others that don't even have a gender like Voltorb.

as long as the other Pokemon has a gender then you can breed any Pokemon with ditto

yes you can, and this is what i'm reading in the official guide from nintendo:

Gender issues: Ditto has no gender and can breed with any pokemon. This makes it an essential breeding partner for pokemon in the Gender Unkown group( like Bronzor) and pokemon like mothim or vespiquen, which come in only a single gender. Aspiring breeders should get ahold of a ditto as early as possible.

yes, but not a legendary. the gender will be the same as th pokemon with ditto. Also, if you give that one an everstone it increases the odds of getting the same nature, if that matters to you...
