you need very good attacks depending on the catagory you are in for example cool contest. you need to see if any of you pokemon are good in the cool contest then enter. first is the dress up you can get costumes from people all around shino. the higher the points depends on the catagory. for example color get beautiful shiny things to use. then it is the dance number each pokemon will take turns if preforming then the back ups do the same dance and vice versa. then comes the acting performince where you show off you moves to the juges.

Contests are a lot different from battles, and it takes a lot of practice to get them right.

First is the appeal round, where you have to dress your pokemon up. You can get items by walking around the Amity Square with the right pokemon (they pick up items). You have to match the items to the theme, e.g. a tree/feather for natural

2nd round you have to dance. This one is the simplist, you jut press the right coloured buttons at the right time. If you press them at the right time, you get points.

Final round is about showing off your moves. Make sure you chose a pokemon that has the right contest types moves for the contest type you chose, e.g. flamethrower is beauty type, so use it in the beauty contest.

It's quite difficult to get right, but if you feed your pokemon poffins, and practice, then you should do ok.
