in poker is a two pair higher than a straight if the straight is not of the same suit???

i have 2 sevens, and 2 eights and she has straight 9-king

  1. Well, a straight beats two pairs every time. Please tell me you aren't setting down to a poker game without knowing your hand rankings.  I would like to play in your game, all kidding aside, why not download a poker site such as poker stars or fulltilt and play the free games, they also have tutorials on poker along with some basic stratagies.
