  1. I recommend taking a few strokes and really focusing on your contact point.  Come to a stop, draw back and make your contact stroke.  Or Alison does it pretty well.  You can't go wrong with her machine like mechanics.  Good luck!

  2. Really, you just have to keep practicing.  There are very few shortcuts to learning how to pocket.  Just keep pocketing and try to pay attention to the ways that you miss.  This will help you diagnose what the problems could be.  It's always best to have a friend around who can tell you what you might be doing differently.

  3. Swing from the elbow. Keep everything else still.

For in depth instruction, try this book: On cue. The author is mark shepherd.

    You can get it here:

  4. after lining the cue (white ball) up with the ball your hitting  to the pocket rest the tip of the stick in your hand. Then take your other hand and put it near the rear of the stick. now move your hand on the rear of the stick forward so the stick hits the ball and then if your line up is on target it should hit the other ball and sent it in the pocked
