  1. Well, first of all those courses are WAY to professional to be driving carts on.

Second, people are willing to caddy for money.

  2. Rules - no carts, or golf carts allowed.  It is basically tradition.  There is no logical or competitive reason.

Players also are required to walk the entire course.  A few years back a disable dgolfer tried to sue to use an electric cart in a PGA tournament.  DENIED!

  3. the pga does not allow any carts , and even if they did how would the caddies be able to walk off the distance?

  4. thats just the way it has always been, i dont think using a cart would help that much either

  5. Its a tradition in the PGA not to have carts. These guys train so much so I'm guessing walking doesn't hurt them. Another reason  is it would be to crazy if every golfer had a cart and eventually somebody would get hurt. Its also for the course. You don't want tire marks on the course.

  6. idn.

  7. that's was a great ??  I always wondered that!

  8. Since the rules stipulate the player must walk, protocol is for the bag to be carried by a caddy. This goes back to the beginning of the Royal and Ancient in Scotland when the gentry had servants who fulfilled that duty.
