In rail track,ch=chainage,startin... ch:145,ending ch:254,the difference in distance is not by 109 . why so ??

It must be some sort of new math then because as far as I know 254-145=109 unless you count the first link at 146 then it would just be 1 less or 108.

There are 80 chains to a mile. But it&#039;s still 109 chains difference.
