  1. REGRET/WL*

    * = there is supposed to be a number, but the website doesn't leave enough space for this, you can sometimes see REGRET/WL1, but that can be REGRET/WL134 (Sleeper Class).

The length of the waitlist is determined by officials, these people have experience of the usual number of cancellations, so will only allow the waitlist to go up to a number that has a small chance of being confirmed.

You wouldn't be able to purchase a 'REGRET' ticket.

"REGRET, NO TICKETS AVAILABLE" or "Booking Not Allowed‎"

WL/1 - WL/1 will be a good option, that will almost certainly get confirmed.

  2. For example WL/25 WL/10 .

The question is "What exactly is my WL status, 25 or 10 ?" . The answer, "Both!".
WL 25 indicates your original wait list position. Because of ( 15) cancellations WL25 has been advanced to WL10. These cancellations happened even before you've made your reservation. In other words, in the queue your current position is 10, which was being advanced from position 25.

Now if three more cancellations happen , your current WL position would further improve to WL7 from WL10.

  3. No More Resservation Allowed.

  4. 1 24-11-2007 REGRET/WL 1 REGRET/WL 1
