What would functionalists, conflict theorist, and symbolic interactionist say bout the material in the film? In other words, what would be the main approach of each of these perspectives? What would they say about the perpetuation in evaluations of characters according to social class, race/ethnicity, and gender?

  1. I think picking apart the movie really shows what happens or what could happen.  Everything you do and say and cause another person to react in certain ways.  It helps us to realize the consequences to our actions that we may not have thought about before.  I thought it was pieced together very well.

  2. the movie was mainly about what could happen when our streotypes (racism) of others are put in perspective- the whole movie was about this, and its shows that in the end- we are all humans and basically want the same for our families, each other, etc.

  3. The movie CRASH is now an exception and not the rule of what is said by others.  Obama let us all know that there still lots of folk out there who still follow it.
