  1. we need to take better car of our homess and leave those in iraque where they dont want our help then we wouldnt have near as much homeless as we do .as to our homeless if they will work  the gov. should give them jobs to earn their food and shelter if they dont to do that then they are lazy . i believe there is something for everyone to do. pride goes before the fall, do the job do it right then get a better job and so on.. ive done alot of jobs i didnt want to do now  im comfortable..

  2. feel free to resettle anywhere you want to except near me.  I resettled a few feet from where I was a few minutes ago.

  3. Hi interesting question. Well firstly this issue is complex. It has to be taken into consideration, how long an individual has been homeless, and whether they have an addiction also.

Resettlement involves either finding someone a flat, or house. It needs to be taken into consideration, what level the individual has in relation to budgeting skills, well life skills really. Some former homeless people are unable to maintain a property, though not all may I add. This is due to never having to maintain a property, thus paying bills and basically managing their finances.

If addiction is involved this makes the process more complex. A resettlement worker would usually implement a package for an individual and work closely with them, in order to support, and advise regarding their home. There are projects also that will supply furniture, where individuals can purchase items at a low price. There could also be other agencies involved who could support individuals making the transition from hostel, the streets, to their own property.

It can be particulary difficult for those making that transition, as there are also issues of individuals not being able to read or write. Something we take for granted, yet it is assumed everyone can read and write. Resettlement is a positive move, for those who have been homeless, however it needs to recognised that it can also be very stressful, for anyone who has lived on the streets or in hostels.
