Sorry, ALL of these are true!  Here's why:

A - Germany and Italy send many troops.  Germany saw this as a special opportunity to train the Luftwaffe airforce.

B - The US remained neutral.  The only nations involved were

Germany, Italy, and against them, Mexico and Russia.  (From the wiki sight)

D - over 3,000 Americans volunteered to go.
