    Ralph a rhombus is a parallelogram lilted  so it will make an obtuse angle but this is not necessary. So a rectangle can be consider as a rhombus.

  2. BD will be the hypotenuse of the triangle.

    Draw a picture and treat it as a triangle. Use the formula for a right angled triangle /hypotenuse.
