In rugby unioun are you alowed to dive over the ruck with the ball in your hand to score a try?

my team cleared out and we were a metgere from the line so i picked the ball up and dived over the ruck and the try was dissallowed for diving ove rthe ruck was the refs response.

  1. yes you can as long as its through the ruck and you don't double take( try twice to score)

  3. Yes as long as all your own players are bound in the ruck by way that players from your team aren't obstructing the defenders in making a tackle.

  5. yes you can as long as you come go through the gate, that is, dont come in from the side
