  1. No, you have to land on a triple word square to triple a word.

  2. No, not unless you also put a letter on a "triple word" space.  It is possible to do something like that, uing the z on a double word score.  For example, if you make the word "quizzing" in the bottom left corner, using a blank for one of the z's you have the real z on a double word score and you can begin and end the word on a triple word score.  You would score more than 300 points if you could do that because you would also use all your letters.  One of the letters must already be available on the board for you to build onto of course.  In over 40 years of playing scrabble, I have been able to do that once.

  3. No, it's only the letter that gets tripled, just like the board says.

  4. No, b/c it is on a triple letter score not triple word score.  You only triple the value of the letter Z tile.  Now, if you were on a triple word score, you would triple the value of the entire word.

  5. If it says tripple letter than it is just the letter on the square.  If it says triple word than it is the word first.

If you make , for example mommy, and it is triple word , on the m than you get triple for mommy.  If next time you make say mister using the m again you don't get triple anything.

  6. no

  7. No, the triple letter square is only for the letter on the square.... there are triple word squares on the board.  (the red ones at the corners and middle of each side)
