  1. In regular scrabble, if placed over a triple word score from the corner you would get 10 points for the q, 1 point each for the u,o and a, 10 points for one of the k's because it would land on a double letter and no points for the other k, because it would have to be a blank - as there is only 1 k tile.  That would give you 69 points total.

  2. Zero.

    Nada.

    Zilch.

No, this isn't a comedy answer. You can't place that word *anywhere* on a English Language Scrabble board... because there's only one K in a set.

Unless you're playing with a non-standard set, or not playing at all and just seeing what you could hypothetically put where.

In which case you can carefully place your letters over the double word score in the centre to get 66 points as an opening move. Or if you put them anywhere else on a board, then you could put them so that the Q lies on one of the triple word scores in the middle of any of the sides, playing along the edge of a board so that a K lies on a double letter score. This gives 84 points.

What you could get in a game is dependent on what letters are around that and how many other words you form. But since you haven't got got those letters in a real game of scrabble, it's rather a redundant question.

Out of interest, the highest possible word ever is still being debated, but the highest scoring solution I could find is BENZOXYMETACAMPHORS. This crosses three triple word squares and forming other words like PROVERB, GAUDEZ,

DUTIFULLY, SQUANDERMANIAM, FLOWERETH, VAGABONDAGER and JINNYRICKSHAWS for a staggering 1970 points (using an NZ dictionary rather than an official Scrabble word list though).

This is all just in theory though, an artificially created solution figured out by someone with too much time on their hands. The biggest single scoring word in open competition is CAZIQUES for 392.

Still, quite something, and a bit better than me. Tonight my move in an online Scrabble game was GIT. Scrabble stardom probably won't beckon for me... :-)
