Jag's response 4 months ago indicated: 1. Plug the router directly into the modem. 2. Unplug the network bridge for 30-45 seconds. 3. Re-plug the network bridge. 4. check the bridge for green lights. 5. Properties of TCP/IP set to obtain IP address automatically. 6. Turn on or reboot your system(s). So far, this configuration has not allowed internet access on either computer. Simply plugging the computer directly into the modem works perfectly.

  1. Plug the internet (cable/DSL) cable from the wall into the modem. From the modem ethernet port connect an ethernet cable into the router's internet port.

From one of the router's LAN ports connect an ethernet cable to your desktop's ethernet port.

Install the router software (optional if you want Windows to manage the router)

Set up a security passcode to protect your network.

    Done

  2. you can plug the comp system up to the router at any point in the process, but there is a place in the instructions that tells you to hook it up last. once hooked up you will know if the lights will come on in the appropriate places and then youre good to go.
