In skateboarding whats the differants between regular and goofy footed?

I'm pretty sure left foot in front is Regular, right foot in front is Goofy. That's what it says in Tony Hawk Ride, and I've checked a bunch of websites and they all say left foot in front is regular and right is goofy. But, a couple of my friends said it was the other way around,  so I'm not completely sure. Mongo is when you push with your front foot.
