In slow pitch softball how long from the games start time do you have before you have to forfeit?

i play slow pitch softball. on sunday the team we were supposed to play was short 2 players, but they showed up w/i 15 minutes of the start time. the umpire forfeited them was that legal?

Each league has their own rules.  The league I play in they schedule games at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 PM.  At 6:00 they give you 15 minutes by at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 you must have a full team at game time or it's a forfeit.

I think each league is different. In the leagues I play in, it is up to the umpires to decide how long you get and they get impatient and call games sometimes right around 10 minutes.

Or sometimes, they find players for your team to start the game, gotta love when they do that!
