  1. Yes, sure a free ball can be awarded when all red balls are still on the table and yes a break of over 147 is possible. The possibilities of 155 points is there but I have never heard of it happening before.


  2. Yes, you can get a free ball if the player is snookered. You can then take any colour getting on the black for your colour. Adding this to a maximum break of 147, this will actually take you to 155. But the referee will only call a break of 147. You can't actually get an offical braek over 147. Hope this helps.
