  1. The term cab originally comes from skateboarding. There was a vert trick called a cabellariel which was invented by Steve Caballero one of the old Powell/ Perelta riders it was basically a  360 but spinning backwards if that makes sense. So if you are a regular rider you would ride in fakie and spin to your left, if you are a goofy rider you would spin to your right. You can do the trick switch if you want but its not a switch trick. From that came the trick a half cab which was a 180 cabellariel and in time came tricks like the cab 720 etc. Good question.

  2. a switch frontside. in your example of a "cab 720" that would be you went into it switch and turned frontside. look at this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B63NvPblh...

  3. When you see "cab" as part of the trick name, it means usually means that the trick is started switch.  So for a cab 720 you would ride at the jump switch, do two full rotations, land and ride out switch.  Another common usage is "half cab" where you go in switch and pop a 180 to ride out regular.  There may be more technicalities, but that about sums it up.
