  1. In a dog race it may not matter as on any turn the dogs can wipe-out so the ones behind can get into the lead.


  2. i like the closers, but when picking a spr you should always pick 2 early speed and 2 closers

  4. In most cases, the greyhound in the lead at the first turn will win the race. The exceptions are the same as the precocious front runners in thoroughbred races; they start fast but fade badly close to the wire.

    Because the most traffic problems in greyhound racing occur at the first turn, either an early speed type or a late closer will tend to avoid that trouble area and win more races.

    However, the early speed runners are some of the best bets in greyhound racing.
