  2. To : TheBear

    To keep it simple:

    $20 x 110 = $22  OR $20 x 1.10 (add a decimal point and multiply)

    $20 x -110 = $18  OR 20/110 (divide your wager by Negative number)

  4. The odds that are listed as +110 or -110 are 'american' style. This simply means that they are based on $100. When you see the number displayed as a (+) positive number it signifies how much you will win if you RISK $100. For your example you have the odds listed as +110 so if you risk $100 then you will win $110 for a total return of $210. If the number is listed as a (-) negative number it signifies how much you must RISK in order to WIN $100. So if you see -110, then you must RISK $110 in order to win $100 for a total return of $210. In your example you are risking $20.  IF the odds are -110 you simply take 110 and divide by 100 to convert it into a decimal, in this case it would be .90, then multiply it by your wager amount $20 x .90 = $18 plus your original $20 returned for a total of $38.  If you risk $20 on odds of +110 simply divide 110 by 100 and you get 1.10 x $20=$22 plus your $20 wager for a return of $42.
