  1. I'm guessing you're not interested in definitions, but in the specific conditions in Sweden.

It depends on what you mean and where in Sweden you are. In the north, there's snow well into the month of June, and in the south you cannot be sure to see snow at all.

In the middle part of the country, generally speaking, the spring starts some time in March, the summer starts in the end of May/beginning of June, the autumn starts in October and the winter in December.

It's warmest in July and coldest in January/February.

  2. It's the same as everywhere else in the Northern Hemisphere. Autumn starts on September 22 or 23. This year it's Sept. 22,2008. It ends on December 21. Spring starts on March 21 and ends on June 21. Winter is in between Autumn and Spring and Summer is between Spring and Autumn.

  3. As Monty Burns says, the seasons are the same everywhere in the world, between the two equinoxes and the two solstices.

I live in southern Norway, not far from the Swedish border. Both countries are very long and the weather varies much from the south to the north, and from the coast to inland.

Because we live quite up north compare to other countries, our seasons have greater differences in temperature than elsewhere, nearer the tropics.
