The word &quot;shot&quot; is actually derived from the traditional shot glasses from which tequilla is drunk. These are slender glasses called cabalitto.

The tequilla shot can be enjoyed in several ways. Here I give you the two most popular ones........

Tequila Shots - One shot tequila meaning tequilla in a cabalitto, salt, and a lime wedge. Fill shot glass with tequila, grasp the lime between the thumb and index finger of your other hand (not holding the drink), l**k that little pudgy area between the two fingers holding the lime, sprinkle some salt on the afore mentioned pudgy area. Now l**k the salt, slam the shot down, and bite the lime. Nothing to it. Enjoy!!

Tequila Body Shot - This is a two person game so you need a (lovely) partner and the basic tequila shot ingredients. The only difference is that you l**k your partner&#039;s neck or other lickable body part, sprinkle the salt there, then do the shot as previously described. Be creative, but remember that salt can burn!

A shot of tequila is a small glass of pure tequila, you can have some salt and lime too after, it tastes better.
